For whatever else may pose a threat to your vehicle's road performance, our knowledgeable auto specialists provide a number of other miscellaneous auto services. And because our work is guaranteed, you can rest assured that you're receiving the best workmanship possible. Let us know how we can help you! Contact us at 520-351-2061 to set up an appointment for additional quality auto services.

Our miscellaneous auto services include:

Most Extended Warranties Accepted
An extended warranty (also known as a service contract) can provide peace of mind to most car buyers. The warranty (or service contract) kicks in after the usual manufacturer warranty has expired. An extended warranty covers major breakdowns and evens out the cost of repairs. Unfortunately, not all auto repair shops accept extended warranties. At Covenant Automotive Repair & Service in Tucson, AZ 85712, we accept most extended warranties. We let you use the service contract to save on auto repair costs.

After-Hours Drop Off
Sometimes auto repair needs arise long after most auto repair shops have closed (most auto repair shops close at 6 pm). With after-hours drop off services, you leave your car at the mechanics shop for repair even if the shop has closed. You simply fill out an envelope, put in your keys, and drop it in a drop box. The auto shop will only contact you when your car is ready or when they need additional information. At Covenant Automotive Repair & Service, we value your convenience and that is why we offer after-hours drop off services. A completed Drop-Off Form will help the mechanic diagnose any problems. Even if we have closed, you just drop-off your vehicle at our shop and our mechanics will work on it and contact you when it is ready.

Free Local Pickup and Delivery with Repairs By Appointment
In certain circumstances, auto shops offer pickup and delivery services. This is whereby the auto shop picks up the vehicle at your work place or home, works on it, and delivers it after it is fully repaired and serviced. This saves you time and money. The p/u and delivery service can be either free or paid for. At Covenant Automotive Repair & Service, we offer free local pickup and delivery whereby we routinely pick up your car from your home or workplace. We want to make the task of having that car repaired/serviced as stress free as possible. This service is subject to appointment.

Fleet Maintenance and Repair
As a fleet owner, you have to do all it takes to keep the fleet on the road. When any vehicle is out of service, both revenue and your reputation as a reliable business are at risk. To make sure your fleet of trucks/vehicles is always on the road, partner with a professional auto shop. At Covenant Automotive Repair & Service, we can manage your fleet repairs and maintenance. We make sure servicing is up to date and up to standards. We handle all aspects of fleet repairs and maintenance.

Performance Modifications
Do you have a passion for speed and performance? Performance modifications on your car let you attain high levels of speed and performance. This type of modification involves changing or completely replacing some of your vehicle's parts with high performance ones to boost its performance and speed. Mechanics at Covenant Automotive Repair & Service have a passion for performance too. Wheel Bearings
Wheel bearings are found inside of wheels, allowing the wheels to spin freely, and are connected to the brake system. They can become worn over time, causing a vibrating suspension and noisy rubbing as the car is driven. If they break completely, the vehicle will become very difficult to control and unsafe to drive. Replacement interval for wheel bearings varies greatly, but they should be checked for leaks and wear periodically. Covenant Automotive Repair & Service can make sure that your bearings are in good shape and let you know if they need replacement.

Hubs, Seals, Studs, & Nuts
A wheel hub motor, also referred to as a wheel motor, is an electric motor incorporated into the wheel hub and drives it directly. You can have a safer and smoother ride today by replacing your warped and worn out wheel hubs. Let Covenant Automotive Repair & Service replace your worn out hubs today.

Properly working seals provide oil and grease sealing - offering enhanced performance in a wide range of temperatures and environments. Worn out or warped seals allow external contaminants to enter the bearing unit or let lubricant escape from the unit. This ultimately leads to premature failure of the bearing unit. To keep out contamination and retain lubricant in the bearings, have the seals replaced with new ones. To have the seals replaced by experts, contact or visit Covenant Automotive Repair & Service today.

Studs are the threaded fasteners that hold on the wheels of your truck. The wheel studs are permanently mounted on the wheel hub through the brake disk or brake drum. To secure the wheel, nuts (lug nuts) are fastened over the stud. Stripped wheel studs can be quite dangerous. Damaged wheel studs should be replaced with new ones immediately. To have your truck's wheel studs replaced with high quality ones, call 520-351-2061 or visit Covenant Automotive Repair & Service today.

A wheel nut or lug nut is a fastener for securing a wheel on the hub. A set of lug nuts are used to secure a wheel to the threaded wheel studs (which are fixed to a wheel hub). Worn out nuts means one thing - the wheel is not fixed securely on the vehicle which puts the vehicle at the risk of rolling over. To have your truck's wheels securely fastened to the hub, contact or visit Covenant Automotive Repair & Service in Tucson, AZ 85712 today.

Fuel Efficiency
The experts at Covenant Automotive Repair & Service can inspect your vehicle and perform services that can help it operate at peak performance and help improve fuel efficiency and overall fuel economy. These inspections and services may include items such as:

  • Change engine oil, using the recommended grade of motor oil

  • Align front suspension
  • Clean or replace dirty or malfunctioning fuel injectors
  • Inspect/replace spark plugs and spark plug wires
  • Check exhaust for clogged catalytic converter
  • Examine the exhaust gas recirculation system

Pre-Purchase Inspections
Are you planning to buy a new car? Don't take chances. Be confident about the car you are buying. Have pre-purchase inspections performed on the vehicle. Pre-purchase inspections involve examining the car's condition to ensure it is worth buying. At Covenant Automotive Repair & Service, we have pre-purchase inspection experts - mechanics who will scrutinize any car, make, and model and allow you to make an informed decision. Pre-purchase inspections will definitely give you peace of mind when you buy your next used car.

Pre-Trip Inspection
A pre-trip check up can make the difference between a safe trip and one that ends in a tragedy. The inspection aims at looking for possible defects and potential mechanical problems that could cause disaster. Before embarking on a trip you should make sure your car is fully inspected for safety. You can rely on the experts at Covenant Automotive Repair & Service. We have pre-trip inspection experts who are able to conduct safety inspections on any car, make, and model. Our experts are dedicated to ensuring you have a safe trip. Testimonials

  • After several visits to Mike's, I feel that I am obligated to say how grateful I am that he is here. I am the sort of person who gets very anxious when my vehicle has a problem. Mike and his team are very prompt in assessing the cause, and they then call and answer any and all questions I pose. Even if Mike is sure of the cause, he will do extra investigative work to make sure my worries are alleviated. Repairs are always quick and thorough; while working on the problem I noticed, Mike will check for other problems and tell me about them. And then we come to the price. Mike is, by far, the most affordable mechanic in town. Parts and labor far undercut all the other (reputable) shops. So, one less worry eased: I never have to fret over affording work when it comes to Mike. Even my "car guy" boyfriend can't find fault with Mike's work, communication, and prices. Thank you, Mike. My Jeep will never visit another mechanic as long as I am in Tucson. Sorry; this is a bit of a wordy thank you. But I simply cannot express in words how much I appreciate the work you've done for me in the last few years.
    -Rachel

  • Mike was my last call for automobile repair quotes. I was truly frustrated after five calls and he offered great relief. The dealerships and auto repair franchises in this town were so off the mark regarding my simple SUV strut/shock change. Mike brought me down to Earth with his professionalism, realistic charges (slaughtered the others), warranties, and proven expertise. He may become your prime choice, too...js
    -Joe S.

  • So helpful! Mike was able to help me out at a moment's notice and did a great job on my car. Highly recommended due to great customer service.
    -Jamie

  • This was my first time having work done by Mike. He exceeded my expectations. He and his team were professional and considerate to my concerns of needing repair work done. Mike is a genuinely nice man and makes the angst of car repair much more reassuring.
    -Jeanie

  • All I can say is I wish you were here in Amarillo where I just moved. I've never had such good service from anyone, and I am a real skeptic when it comes to mechanics. You and your crew are the best. Thank you!
    -Bonnie Lundy

  • Mike and his team recently replaced the engine in my 2003 GMC. Mike did the job below other's estimates and provided continuous updates on the status of the job. Excellent knowledge and great customer service. I have found my local mechanic for my vehicles. I will let no one else touch my vehicles. Thanks for everything, great job.
    -Frank B.

  • Shortly after moving to Tucson I was referred to "Mike the Mechanic" by a friend who had moved here a few years earlier---it has turned out to be the best referral ever! It is sometimes hard for single women to not feel "victimized" by mechanics/shops because they know most women know very little about their vehicles, and moving from a cold state (UT) to such a hot climate, I knew I would need help to take care of my "older" car. Mike has proven himself to be an honest, efficient, skilled, and reliable source that has earned my respect and trust to take care of my car's needs. He never suggests any service that is not necessary knowing that I am on a strict budget but always makes sure I am kept aware of what should be done for preventative care.

  • I was not gonna trust "Pep Boys" w/putting in a new tranny in my '94 Mercury Cougar. I did my research & decided on "Mike The Mechanic". He did a fine job - it would have been costly anywhere, but w/him I felt assured he'd done it right. He even steered me to his auto supply who put in my replacement headlight bulb for free!
    -Kandy Langford

  • The guys at Mikes Mechanics are very nice guys, my husband's truck broke down he had it towed to Mikes and called me to pick him up and by the time we pulled in our driveway, mike called and told us the truck was fixed. Now that's fast Service.. We now take both work trucks and my van to Mikes Shop..
    -Barbara Mucciacciaro

  • I live a 100 miles away in Phoenix, however, after discovering Mike the Mechanic, I make a point traveling the 100 miles to keep my vehicle properly maintained by Mike the Mechanic! It's worth the 100 mile drive and despite the cost of gas, it's a savings on my pocket!

  • I broke down in Tucson and my insurance company provided the name of the nearest garage - Mike the Mechanic. Talk about HONEST! I've always said there are two things difficult to find, "A Good Doctor" and "An Honest Mechanic" - one down, one to go!
